Who are the “Boyz”?
In 1996, a group of men—later to be known as “The Boyz in the Woods”—developed an idea to offer a weekend getaway for gay, bisexual and transgender men. The goal was to create a time and place where we could enjoy the pleasures of the great outdoors and challenge ourselves and our community to be stronger in our shared goals and be more tolerant of our differences. Since that first year CAMP has grown from less than a hundred CAMPers to this, our 15th year, when we will welcome over 150 CAMPers.
Wanna be a Boy?
Planning for CAMP is a year long process and the time commitment varies – anywhere from an hour a week to daily, in July and August, depending on the task. If you've got a talent or skill that you’d like to share, or if you'd simply like to find a more productive way of keeping your idle hands busy, get in touch with us. There's room for anyone who would like to be one of The Boyz.
