Exploration Happens - Art, Music, Movement, Words and You

The weekend is organized around a series of fun and engaging workshops. All the workshops encourage growth through different modes of expression: Art, movement, vocalization, and personal story telling.

During the weekend you will have the opportunity to participate in three of these four modes of expression. Although the modes are different, they address common themes. As you travel through the weekend what you learned in one workshop will inform your experience of the next.

The four modes of expression are:

Artistic expression: Exploring self expression and self representation through the visual arts.

Movement exploration: Exploring how our lives affect the way our bodies engage the world.

Vocalization: Using the voice to tie into key areas of the body to discover and express ourselves.

Queer Story Exposition: Using the art of personal storytelling to celebrate our fabulous lives.

At several points in the weekend you will have opportunities to participate in smaller discussion groups and spend time reflecting on each activity.

Celebration Happens - Play

It’s a weekend about celebrating who you are in a healthy communal setting. In addition to workshops, the weekend will include time to play: campfires, sing-a-longs, opportunities for performance, and light-hearted competition.

Connection Happens - Community

It’s a weekend about connecting with self and community. You will dine, work, and play in the company of a diverse group of men… and also have time for individual reflection.

Comfort Happens - The Basics

Stay in rustic cabins built in the 1930’s that have been updated with modern conveniences. The cabins have heat, electricity, carpeting, bunk beds and a basic bathroom with no more than 6 to 8 to a cabin. Bring towels, toiletries, a pillow and sleeping bag and/or bedding from home. All your delicious meals from Friday dinner to Sunday lunch are included in your registration fee.

Hang out with other men and experience the celebration of Self and Spring.
